Michelle Fields Pursues Defamation Case Against Lewandowski after Battery Charges Fail

Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski may have escaped battery charges for his contact with Brietbart reporter Michelle Fields, but he’s not off the hook just yet.

Ex-Breitbart reporter Michelle Fields said Wednesday night that she plans to pursue civil action against Donald Trump and campaign manager Corey Lewandowski over an incident that occurred last month.

Fields told TheBlaze that she is looking into bringing legal action against both Trump and Lewandowski for defamation of her character.

If it wasn’t one crime it was another. After the battery charges ended up being bogus, she’s now turning to defamation of character. None of this should come as a surprise, of course. Fields quit Breitbart over the issue — likely assuming that a case against someone so close to Trump was a sure thing — and now she’s out of a job and out of credibility. At this point, this may be her only chance to vindicate her decisions over the past few weeks.
