Mitch McConnell (R-KY) had some interesting things to say when asked about Donald Trump’s suggested Muslim Immigration ban on CNN’s “State of the Union” on Sunday. When asked about the Republican frontrunner’s plan to temporarily stop Muslim immigration into the United States, should he be elected, McConnell said that the Senate would never act on it.
During his response, he brought up some interesting things, saying that it would also prevent certain foreign leaders from being able to come to the United States. Among those leaders, he named the president of Afghanistan and the King of Jordan, both people that Trump probably wouldn’t want here anyway.

Obama takes action on many many things which is supposed to have congressional approval BUT does not. So Trump would not be allowed the same “leeway” Obama has enjoyed???

Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the Ientry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate.
And there’s the problem. The people like trump because of his immigration stance. Mitch and the senate would be standing in the way of the will of the people.
