With all the talk about “fake news” stories misleading the public, it would be wise to revisit all the times the mainstream media propagated stories that didn’t exactly stand up to scrutiny.
After all, when one usually brings up examples of poor or outright harmful journalism, it’s usually stories from fringe or “conspiracy theory” sites that are often unable to gain traction beyond a small minority of readers. However, the real fake stories we have to worry about are the ones that we don’t realize are fake at first and more often than not are trumpeted from the highest mountain by compliant news reporters.
This was especially true during the Obama administration, as the press would regularly spin news that reflected poorly on the president’s policies and make them look a-okay. But believe it or not, this dubious tradition has roots that go far beyond Obama’s ascent to the White House.

It will be nice to have integrity back in the government! I can not stand the behavior if Democrats. We the people need to evaluate what they bring to America and weigh the consequences. It cost billions to correct their wrong after each corrupt democratic presidency! We could save billions if we banned the Democratic party and had all politicians mandated to be profiled before entering ANY federal or state position. It would save Americans money in the long run. To ifentify a theif, narcissist, mentally ill in advance! Something must be changed! Democrats este our money and place our nation in jeopardy! Who among us can remember when all television programs and commercials were done live, sometimes with very comical results? Modern technology allows advertisers and broadcasters to edit content so that viewers only will see the intended message. That is worth repeating. Viewers will only see the intended message and the message will be repeated until it’s imprinted in our memory.
An abundance of information, but all from the same source is the same as low information. Information from a single source that is repeated over and over again this indoctrination, also known as brainwashing. Be watchful for media wolves in sheep’s clothing.
