Letterman Rants Against ‘Soulless Goon’ Trump, “Is There a Guy in There?”

The 70-year old formerly funny man now comes across as a cranky old man, a guy who once was more than happy to have Donald Trump grace his stage in order to goose up the Late Show ratings. Expressing no regret about Trump’s many show appearances, Letterman makes it clear he now sings a different tune.

No, no reason to regret it. I’m disappointed that this man is representing me and my country. It makes me sick. But we always looked forward to having him on. He was a great guest. He was just a big, wealthy dope who’d come on and we would make fun of his hair. I would refer to him as a slumlord.”

It didn’t take long for him to shift into overdrive with personal insults.

But now, this goon… I don’t know. He’s demonstrated himself to be a man without a core, a man without a soul. Is there a guy in there?”

The Letterman barrage follows up on earlier comments that displayed the host’s progressive bias. Before Election Day he called Trump a “damaged human being” and in March, said the president is “insulting to America.”

Showing his Trump derangement sometimes takes him into a fantasy land, Letterman mused about having an opportunity to interview the president.

I would love to have 90 minutes with him in a TV studio, just to talk to the guy. I would just like to say,”All right, Don: What the f**k happened?

Don’t hold your breath for that to happen, Dave. President Trump shows a preference for winners, not whiny losers.

It’s no surprise Letterman’s remarks showed up in GQ. That’s the same media outlet that provides a platform for Trump-hater Keith Olbermann, who’s proven himself to be nuttier than squirrel poop.
