The Chinese writer of The Art of War, General Sun Tzu, wrote: “If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”
In this world that God has put us all in, the United States is an anomaly among nations in our history. Although the US is relatively young, compared to say the nation that raised up Sun Tzu, which is not hundreds, but thousands of years old, we are a nation that is to world history what Martin Brodeur was to professional hockey goalies. We have literally broken every record there is throughout our 300-year chronology when it comes to innovation, military endeavors, contributions to the human condition, and nation-building influence. No other stands exactly on even turf with the United States because of the very philosophies that guided the original settlers of this land to this place. This country was inspired to be created by Christianity and by God.
Perhaps people would argue that assessment, but I have no doubt in my mind that this is a concrete fact. Now, because of our unique status among much older and more experienced nations, we have many enemies. Some of these are overt and bellicose (North Korea and Iran) while others are more subtle (China, Russia and Pakistan). Even our “friends” and allies across the world spy upon us…as we in turn spy upon them. Yet, some within our own country actually root for our demise or for a cruel “lesson” to be taught to us. Of course, I speak about Progressives and the Left…”enemies within,” so to say.
Sun Tzu was correct, though, when he begged his successors to be wary of the enemy. Know them and you will be successful. Judge for yourself if the great power in the European North is one of those covert powers that seeks to destroy the West!
