John Kerry: ‘There Was… a Rationale’ For The Charlie Hebdo Killings

You would think a sitting Secretary of State would know better than to split hairs between whether any given terrorist attack had a legitimate “rationale” or not, but it seems Kerry feels the need to decide whether this or that act of terrorism is justified or not. Per Breitbart:

“‘There’s something different about what happened from Charlie Hebdo, and I think everybody would feel that,’ Kerry told the group. ‘There was a sort of particularized focus and perhaps even a legitimacy in terms of – not a legitimacy, but a rationale that you could attach yourself to somehow and say, okay, they’re really angry because of this and that.’

Kerry went on to describe the Friday terror attacks in Paris as ‘indiscriminate’ and unlike the Charlie Hebdo attack, not to ‘aggrieve one particular sense of wrong. It was to terrorize people.’

Senator Sen. Cory Gardner (R-CO) of Colorado has already called on Kerry to apologize:

But this isn’t the first time Kerry has spoken nonsense about Islam. Truth And Action has covered another time Kerry made some truly baffling comments. He claimed that according to the Bible we are obligated to protect Muslims from climate change:

“Kerry begins this speech by stating that someone named ‘Shriek’ had drafted a strategy for American and Muslim relations. Who this Shriek is exactly is unknown, but apparently his words ‘religion matters’ is ‘a mantra in the State Dept’.

Kerry continues stating that ‘our faiths’ referring to Christianity and Islam are ‘inextricably linked’.

Kerry’s words are bizarre, to say the least. It’s basically a half-baked attempt to forge an affinity for Islam, and is a statement that the U.S. is now acquiescing to the Muslim Brotherhood, who has successfully infiltrated the United States to a great degree.”
