Ever since climate change became an issue in the political arena, the government has been doing everything it can to stem the alleged release of gasses into the atmosphere. Thus, all of the green movements that have become popular or forced amongst populations in states like California. For years now, Conservative journalists and politicians alike have been making jokes about how soon state governments and possibly the federal government would be seeking to control sources of methane gasses like the kind released when cows far. The government did a multi million dollar study on this very subject back in the 70’s, the best proposed solution, giant plastic domes covering vast pasture land, and trapping the methane from the cows that would then be burned off. The down side would be the expense to run huge fans to venolat the domes. Another part of the study showed that pine trees released more hydrocarbons than all cows put together. Nothing said about cutting down all pine trees. Could be all the marijuana burning that’s the problem!
