Caving in to outcries that they represent the South’s racist past, Greg Fenves, the president of the University of Texas in Austin, announced on Thursday that the statue of Jefferson Davis will be removed from the campus’s Main Mall and moved to the school’s Dolph Briscoe Center for American History.
The statue of Woodrow Wilson was moved as well to “maintain symmetry on the mall.”

Davis was a DEMOCRAT, Wilson was a DEMOCRAT and a leader of the PROGRESSIVE movement. Frickin’ idiots these days. Maybe if they actually taught history in schools these days instead of gov’t propagated half truths these dumass Democrat loving liberals coming out of colleges today would know the Republican Party isn’t to blame for slavery and racism. As far as the statues go, they should remain in place with the above facts engraved in their base.
The South fought to uphold the principles of the Constitution. They fought for State’s rights and limited government.
