Hacked Email by Russia Reveals Possible Collusion Between Lynch and Comey to Protect Hillary from Prosecution

Far removed from political intrigue, its difficult for us as “normal, little people” to imagine the enormity of pressure that can be brought to bear on the upper echelon once nefarious schemes perpetrated by said officials is unearthed and made public.

FBI Director James Comey is one of those individuals who currently finds himself one of the central figures in the ongoing Congressional investigation into the illegal email server of then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and her blatant disregard for national security and the safety of our troops abroad.

Senator Charles Grassley, who was pointed in his questioning yesterday toward Director Comey and the exchange led to an explosive admission that SOMETHING was certainly not on the up-and-up regarding the Lynch-Clinton tarmac meeting and the resulting strange and unorthodox actions taken by the Director during the late hours of the campaign last year.

In particular, Grassley recounted a particular email, that which he indicated had originated in the DNC hierarchy (later affirmed by some sources to have been hacked the Russians), where Attorney General Lynch stated that she would do everything possible to ensure that the investigation into Hillary Clinton would ultimately result in no charges filed.

As Senator Grassley read the email and then directed his question toward Comey, the answer told us everything we need to know about what was going on behind closed doors.  Here’s the exchange:

GRASSLEY:  The New York Times recently reported that the FBI had found a troubling email among the ones the Russians hacked from Democrat operatives.  The email reportedly provided assurances that Attorney General Lynch would protect Secretary Clinton by making sure that the FBI investigation quote-unquote didn’t go too far.  How and when did you first learn of this document?  Also who sent it and who received it?

COMEY:  That’s not a question I can answer in this forum, Mr. Chairman, because it would call for a CLASSIFIED response.

The Director indicated in subsequent questions by Senator Grassley that he could not discuss any questions relating to AG Lynch for reasons of maintaining the integrity of Classified information. Incidentally, claiming asylum under Classified intel rules is a bit hypocritical when one considers that Comey himself exonerated Clinton of wrong-doing for exposing much more Secret and Classified materials to potential enemies of the United States.  Yet, here he was claiming that Classified materials were too sensitive to reveal to a senator of the Judiciary Committee in Congress!

Be that as it may, Director Comey went on to say that he felt, in essence, boxed in by both this above-referred email and the now-famous “tarmac meeting.”

“And then the capper was — and I’m not picking on the attorney general, Loretta Lynch, who I like very much — but her meeting with President Clinton on that airplane was the capper for me, and I then said, you know what, the department cannot, by itself, credibly end this.”

Republicans weren’t sympathetic.  They continued to hound Director Comey on his decision to step away from an investigator’s role (his job at the FBI) and donning the hat of a prosecutor (not his job) when he suggested that the FBI would not recommend pressing charges against Secretary Clinton.

This entire charade by both the FBI and the DOJ stinks from the head down and it’s quite possible that this is the beginning of some very serious trouble for Lynch and Comey. Senator Grassley is a very busy man these days, especially in his grilling of Director Comey.  The FBI head is ensconced in quite a few controversies as we speak and it appears that he’d better invest in a lot of Red Bulls over the coming weeks.
