Gov. Ron DeSantis had very strong words for President Joe Biden during a fiery news conference in Panama City on Wednesday. The governor was meant to join the DEO Secretary for an update on Florida's economy, but the rhetoric quickly changed as he laid into Biden for “importing more virus from around the world” via illegal immigrants.
“He's facilitating,” DeSantis said. “Whatever variants are around the world, they're coming across that southern border. He's not shutting down the virus, he's helping to facilitate it.”
DeSantis also claimed Biden wants kindergartners to wear masks and wants the government to enforce it.
“Well I can tell you in Florida, the parents are going to make that decision,” he said.
“Joe Biden has taken to himself to single out Florida over COVID-19,” DeSantis said.
“Joe Biden suggests that if you don't do lockdown policies then you should ‘get out of the way.' But let me tell you this, if you're coming after the rights of parents in Florida, I'm standing in your way,” DeSantis said. “I'm not going to let you get away with it.”
