ISIS is barbaric and must be annihilated. The testimony of a young Yazidi woman regarding her savage treatment at the hands of ISIS should move the United Nations to act quickly and strategically at destroying this radical Islamic group.
Nadia Murad Basee Taha stood courageously before the UN to beg them to stop ISIS. She said, “I implore you, get rid of Daesh [ISIS] completely.” Nadia is part of the Yazidi, an ethono-religious group that is indigenous to the Northern Mesopotamia.
ISIS views the Yazidi as “devil worshipers” and have been especially hostile to the families and most specifically to the women and children. The goal of ISIS is to utterly destroy or wipe the Yazidi off the face of the earth. The young lady’s testimony before the UN is difficult to hear.
Her innocence and youth were ripped from her as she endured rape after rape until she passed out. The video on the following page in difficult to watch, but the urgency of crushing ISIS is demonstrated in Nadia’s plea.
