Fabricated Hate Crime Backfires on 3 Black SUNY Albany Students

When liberals pander to certain groups and convince them that they are victims of a hateful (i.e. conservative and white) society, they tend to feel like they lack an identity if they are not being persecuted.  Recently we witnessed this in Austin, Texas, where a gay preacher falsely accused Whole Foods of writing the word “fag” on his cake.

At SUNY Albany, three black women claimed that a mob of white male students attacked them on a bus while using racial slurs against them.  The video tells a different story, however.  After the entire university originally stood by the three girls and brought in civil rights investigators, it is now the three women who are facing charges.

Three women accused of falsely claiming they were victims of racial abuse and physical assault have been expelled from Albany University and will now face criminal charges.

Two of the women, Ariel Agudio and Asha Burwell, face charges of misdemeanor assault and falsely reporting an incident. A third, Alexis Briggs, is being charged on one count of misdemeanor assault.

The university’s president, Robert J. Jones, confirmed that Agudio and Burwell had been expelled, whilst Briggs has been suspended for two years, according to Fox News.

The young women had claimed white men physically assaulted them and hurled racial slurs whilst riding the university bus in January. However, on close inspection, investigators concluded that the alleged victims were in fact the aggressors, and the accused were in fact trying to break up the fight.

Instead of teaching these women that they are strong and independent people, the left has told them that they are victims that are in need of protection.  This is the result of such a philosophy.  It is lucky for the young men who broke up the fight that the incident was captured on video; otherwise, they would likely be the ones facing expulsion.
