DHS Head: Right-Wing Pose Same Threat as Islamic Extremists

The whole concept that right-wing extremism is a problem would be easy to laugh off if resources and focus weren’t being used there rather than in the fight against real, murderous Islamic terrorism. Mosques here in the U.S. are not being surveilled because it “singles out a single religion,” and the mosque where Omar Mateen, the Orlando shooter “worshipped” three times a week was being watched, but that was discontinued under Hillary Clintons mandate as Secretary of State.

The Obama administration wants to bring in thousands more refugees, but the immigration department says they cannot reliably do background checks to ensure they are not part of an Islamic terror group and do not have the resources to do so. And the government is spending time and money on domestic right-wing extremism? Get real!

One month after the San Bernardino terrorist attack that left 14 innocent people dead, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson told advisors that right wing extremists pose just as much of a threat to the country as Islamic extremists.

Johnson made the comments during the Homeland Security Advisory Council’s (HSAC) January meeting. City of Austin Police Chief Art Acevedo, whom Johnson appointed to HSAC, shifted the discussion to the threat of right-wing extremists, according to the official meeting minutes.

Johnson echoed the sentiment. “Secretary Johnson agreed and noted that CVE [Subcommittee on Combating Violent Extremism], by definition, is not solely focused on one religion,” the minutes states.

The meeting was also attended by the co-chairs of HSAC’s Subcommittee on Combating Violent Extremism.

As originally reported by The Daily Caller on Monday, a report published by that subcommittee last week urged DHS to avoid using the words “sharia” and “jihad” (among others) when discussing terrorism, in order to avoid offending Muslims.

As originally reported by TheDC, one of the current sitting members on the subcommittee is a 25-year-old Syrian immigrant who has consistently disparaged America, free speech and white people on social media. That member, Laila Alawa, also publicly stated that the September 11 attacks “changed the world for good.”

There is a surreal determination by the Obama administration and the left to not “offend” the larger Muslim community by not referring to Muslim terrorists as Muslim terrorists. In the meantime, 20 American ranchers are sitting in jail for protesting the governments heavy handed domination of western state land. The ranchers crime? Letting cattle feed on open federal land, and for standing up to the government. This is the terrorism that the Obama administration is worried about? If the American public was not so busy playing video games and celebrating diversity they would have thrown this inept crew out long ago and demanded that the government get serious about defeating and controlling Islamic extremism both in the U.S. and throughout the world. Instead we have these geniuses who cannot use the word “sharia” and “jihad”, even though that represents the desire of a huge proportion of Muslim adherents, in some polls over 25%. That would be about 300 million people if we do the math. But Obama is worried about a couple of dozen ranchers in Nevada or Oregon! There is clearly more to this than Obama simply wanting to limit what he calls the murderers, regardless of his lame protestations.
