Isiah James is a combat veteran who is permanently disabled from taking 3 IED blasts, which gave him a traumatic brain injury and forced doctors to put screws in his leg.
The veteran, who served two tours in Iraq and one in Afghanistan, can’t walk long distances and is in obvious of handicap spots.
However, this week one cop made it his mission to harass the vet for not looking disabled enough, even though a handicapped parking permit sings from his rearview mirror…a move the officer might soon regret.

What are you supposed to look like, a zombie, the walking dead? You tell me. What are you supposed to be like if you have a handicap, are you supposed to have to crawl into the store, do you have two heads, are you supposed to be gasping for air? Tell me, I want to know! Does a bad heart show on the outside, do bad lungs show on the outside? Do bad kidneys show on the outside, does COPD show on the outside? I could go on and on and on and on…………………….. .The policeman was WAY OUt OF LINE! You could say that the driver wasn’t very respectful, but telling someone who is handicapped they don’t look handicapped enough and shouldn’t be able to park in a handicap spot is TOTALLY DISRESPECTFUL! My husband is handicapped and he looks just fine, but looks are deceiving! Peace!
