Colts Linebacker to Honor Trayvon Martin with Pair of Cleats

So, then, if a White male teen had turned and rushed George Zimmerman, after being encountered on the street late at night, acting suspiciously, and began bashing Zimmerman’s head into the pavement causing massive injuries, Obama believes that he would have been just fine and walked away from that situation without some sort of self-defense action on Zimmerman’s part?

To say nothing of its utter stupidity, this sort of statement was the precise reason why so many White Americans felt the need to come out in droves in the election last year.  They heard this ridiculous rhetoric constantly from the podium of the president and its thinly-veiled rebukes and decided that they no longer wanted to blame for all of society’s ills.

This situation brought about so much vitriol in Leftists that even CNN was doctoring audio tapes of the original call by Zimmerman to the police to make it seem as if the neighborhood watch volunteer had immediately identified Martin as a Black man and that this was a pre-conceived racist reaction that led to his shooting.

In fact, other news outlets found themselves slavishly leaning toward blaming Whites so forcefully that they even took George Zimmerman (who was Hispanic) and began describing him as a White-Hispanic!  No joke.  In a search for the term, it was revealed that “White-Hispanic” had NEVER been used before in referencing a White or a Hispanic suspect in any case.

The point is, that this case stirred up a visceral response on the part of Leftists to the point where fact didn’t matter, truth was obscured, and reality was blurred.  It IS a tragedy that this young man was killed.  It is equally a tragedy that Zimmerman has to live the rest of his life knowing that he killed a 17-year-old boy because a dire situation was initiated on a darkened street that required him to make a life-altering decision based on his being pummeled mercilessly by an assailant.

The blame here is not on Martin, nor is it on Zimmerman, but on the parents of the 17-year-old who was out at night without supervision and obviously committing actions that could most likely only lead to injury or death, either for himself or someone else.  If Zimmerman had not had a weapon, is it possible that he would be dead today and not Martin?  The answer is, “Of course!”

Would that have been any easier for the country to accept…that a neighborhood watch volunteer was killed after having his head bashed into the pavement enough times to end his life by an unknown assailant?

There were no witnesses to the altercation and, most likely, Martin could have conceivably slipped away from that scene without detection.  Yet, because of the phone call that Zimmerman made, and the fact that he was acting in the capacity of someone who was guarding the neighborhood against wrongdoing, he remained after the shooting to report to the police and subsequently face the fury and lies of the FNIC and even a horrible dismissal by the president himself.

Remember that the president imagined the anguish of the Martin family, but never once acknowledge how anguished Zimmerman must have felt knowing that he ended the life of a young man of 17.  That told us everything we needed to know about how Obama viewed Zimmerman and others like him.
