CNN’s Van Jones Caught on Camera: Russia is “a Big Nothing Burger”

Still reeling from yesterday’s shocking video release, CNN is lamely trying to put a different spin on the matter, which just makes the “fake news” accusations against the network more on target.

On his Twitter account, “Reliable Sources” host Brian Stelter downplayed Bonifield as just a “Health Producer” who isn’t involved in covering Russia or President Trump.

The CNN public relations department put out a statement that was laughable on its face:

CNN stands by our medical producer John Bonifield. Diversity of personal opinion is what makes CNN strong, we welcome it and embrace it.”

In Part One, Bonifield emphatically asserted that the Russia-Trump coverage was all about business and driving ratings, not about journalistic integrity or ethics.

In today’s Part Two release, James O’Keefe noted that the left-leaning Jones had attacked then President-Elect Trump in the past for having a “Putin relationship.”

Here’s what Jones had to say in a December 18, 2016, broadcast:

Other Presidents tried to say nice things about the Russians — not in the face of an active attack on the country!”

Which begs the question: did Jones know it was “a big nothing burger” back then?

The CNN controversy spilled over into the White House daily press briefing yesterday when Deputy Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said this:

There is a video circulating now. Whether it is accurate or not, I don’t know, but I would encourage everybody in this room, and frankly, everybody across the country to take a look at it. I think if it is accurate, I think it’s a disgrace to all of media, to all of journalism — we’ve been going on this Russia-Trump hoax for the better part of a year now with no evidence of anything.”

Having been caught with their pants around their ankles, CNN had to hope for help from its fellow “fake news” outlets. The Washington Post’s Paul Fahri was quick to oblige:

[I]t never mentions that Bonifield is a producer of health and medical stories, raising questions about how relevant his views are, and how informed he is, about CNN’s political coverage.”

O’Keefe makes it clear Project Veritas will keep up the pressure on major media corporations to expose their deceit and hypocrisy. Stay tuned for the next installment.
