A major decision that will impact Minnesotans’ privacy rights is waiting to be heard in the state’s court of Appeals.
It all started off simply enough. Jason and Jackie Wiebesick were a Golden Valley couple who lived in a duplex. One day, officials from the city approached them to ask permission to inspect their home. The stated reason was to collect information so as to make a decision over whether to renew the Wiebesick’s rental license.
Disturbed by the prospect of unfamiliar people walking around their home, the Wiebesick’s turned down the inspectors’ request. One might think it would have ended there, but the city saw to it that it didn’t.
Taking the case to court, Golden Valley authorities implored a county judge to issue a warrant overriding the Wiebesick’s objections and allowing them into the house. Tellingly, the judge refused their request for a warrant, prompting the city to reach even higher.
See video about the case on the next page:

Soon as they step foot in they will be carried off i will call it a home invasion
no such thing as “the city” there is an office holder who wants in to these peoples house for some reason, find out who is pushing this go to there house and set it on fire that will stop this in it’s track
unauthorized entry gets you shot..
wow the city really wants to inspect their home for some odd reason if they are trying this hard to obtain some sort of legal verification to do so
even the judge said no and now they are going to violate the privacy
Liberals feel that they are so correct that they won’t ever take no for an answer. It is because they are absolutely correct in their views, and feel justified.
While I stand behind this couples rights this is a landlord/tenant issue. This couple is renting. If their lease agreement specifies periodic inspections for health and safety issues they cannot deny access. Sounds like a faulty lease agreement therefore they need a warrant.
Minnesota is another cesspool state I hope to never have to visit again. It will get worse there with all the Muslims being relocated there.
So, I guess the 4th Admendment is going the way of some of the other Admendments. Sad state the situation the governments are getting. It’s just for people that have gotten some political power to run over the average citizen. I still seeing a lot of ancient Roman history repeating it’s self. Things like this and the ongoing problems out in the west with the BLM, and Harry Reid, are starting to show that it’s ” a government control for the benefit of the few ” instead of for the people has taken control. No wonder there are references to ” civil uprisings “. Sad we have to fight the government for the rights that were granted, and garanteed, to us many years ago.
What was Not mentioned in this obvious inflamatory ‘news’ article by the ‘throw gas on something that’s Not a fire yet’ Truth and Action, is whether the property in which this couple lives is actually Owned by the City, as in ‘public housing project’. If the City Owns it, and the couple Rents it from the City, my guess is that the City will prevail as they have the vested interest in making sure the property stays up to code.
wrong!
Oppression starts close to home.
