China Moves 150,000 Troops to Border of North Korea in Anticipation of US Strike

If President Trump stirred up the world with his recent cruise missile attack, that is likely to be nothing compared with an attack on North Korea. Not that the North Koreans have not been their usually bellicose selves, with Kim Jong-un leading the government. They certainly have. And they seem very proud of their alleged accomplishments in missile technologies and nuclear weapons., almost as though they are eager to use them.

The president’s meeting with Chinese President Xi was hardly over when the U.S. attack on Syria began. And you can be sure that North Korea was a topic of discussion. North Korea is a problem for the Chinese. On the one hand, the nation servers as a buffer between China and a U.S. ally, South Korea. On the other hand, the North is an irresponsible ally of the Chinese that is both an economic disaster and a nation that might provoke a nuclear war. And a war between North Korea and the U.S. would obviously draw in other nations.

The following was machine translated from the Korean paper, Chosun:

Xinhua News Agency

As the United States announced its independent North Korean behavior and moved the United States Navy’s nuclear-powered Calvinus (CVN-70) carrier class to Singapore, the Chinese army has mobilized about 150,000 troops in two groups, “The report said. It is because of the prospect of taking “military options”, such as preemptive attacks on North Korea, just as the United States has launched an air raid on Syria.

Japan’s Sankei Shimbun reported on the 9th that the Syrian missile strike in the United States shocked China in the future, and the information on the Chinese Internet has been spreading from the afternoon of the 7th to the People’s Liberation Army .

The newspaper said the video was broadcast on the Internet, but the authorities removed relevant information, as the mobile troops moved to Shenyang in the Shenyang battleship (current northern light bulb).

There is an observation that medical and back-up support units will be dispatched to “train for North Korean refugees,” the newspaper added.

They are referring to the U.S. carrier Carl Vinson and the other ships in its battle group that is on the way to the Korean peninsula.

The head of all U.S. forces in the Pacific canceled a planned carrier exercises and port visits in Australia and redirected the Carl Vinson carrier strike group to the waters off the Korean Peninsula as the U.S. weighs a series of limited options for dealing with an increasingly unbalanced and dangerous North Korean regime.

In a release Saturday afternoon, U.S. Pacific Command announced the cancellation and redeployment of Vinson. Announcing carrier movements in advance is rare, and generally done to send a clear message.

“Admiral Harry Harris, Commander, U.S. Pacific Command, has directed the Carl Vinson Strike Group to sail north and report on station in the Western Pacific Ocean after departing Singapore April 8,” the release said.

“Carl Vinson Strike Group, including Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70), embarked Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 2, Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyers USS Wayne E. Meyer (DDG 108) and USS Michael Murphy (DDG 112), and Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Lake Champlain (CG 57), will operate in the Western Pacific rather than executing previously planned port visits to Australia.”

The key here is that the Chinese have moved 150,000 troops to the border with North Korea, presumably to intercept the hundreds of thousands of refugees who would come streaming over the border should the U.S. and North Korea get into a shooting war.

China has launched the Dongfeng-31A missile at Rocket County’s 51st station in Liaoning Shenyang, twenty-eight miles of Dongfeng 03 ballistic missile, and 24 aircraft carrier killer Dongfeng-21 missiles in North Korea, USFK, It is said that the US military has been poised to fire at any time and aim at the same time

It’s also clear that China is deploying its own military assets in the area in case the shooting war gets extended to them as well.

What must be remembered is that North Korea had to be a major topic of discussion between President Trump and President Xi of China at their just concluded summit at Mar-a-lago. That does not mean they were in complete agreement. However, it does imply that what might be about to happen in North Korea will not come as a surprise to the Chinese who will be ready for the conflict, even if they do not entirely endorse it.

Update: Russia has also placed troops on their border with North Korea:

Vladimir Putin is sending troops and equipment to Russia‘s border with North Korea over fears the US is preparing to attack Kim Jong-un.

The Russian President fears there will be a huge exodus of North Korean refugees if his American counterpart, Donald Trump, launches military action against Pyongyang.

It comes days after it emerged that China is also sending 150,000 soldiers to its southern frontier to cope with the tidal wave of North Koreans Beijing fears would flee across the border if war breaks out.

This morning, footage emerged appearing to show how Putin is reinforcing his 11-mile border with North Korea by relocating troops and equipment.
