The left is once again going after the automobile industry by calling for new taxes on the already overtaxed drivers of America. An economist at the Congressional Budge Office suggested that the Federal government would start charging people based on their mileage. This would be done in order to generate more revenues to spend on highway projects. They obviously don’t see the flaws in that plan.
If they start taxing drivers to generate money for highway projects, drivers are going to be using the highways less and less. That’s like charging somebody a finger every time they wanted to buy a new ring.
Chad Shirley, CBO’s deputy assistant director for microeconomic studies, gave a presentation that shows federal gas tax revenues are falling short of federal spending on highway programs. Naturally, Shirley didn’t suggest less federal spending, but instead he offered three somewhat idiotic suggestions.

You do not need to drive a car, or a truck… for it is only needed if and only if you drive a “Commercal” vehicle. If you drive a vehicle for “Personal” purposes you do not legally need a “drivers license”. So this is for the government. Try and tax me for you would lose. Bye bye

S**t we pay taxes here, BUT where I live the roads are NOT maintained, the law enforcement is virtually none existent, I can’t even get MAIL DELIVERY to my freaking house, I’m forced to PAY for a post office box, BC instead of delivering mail to our homes, they put “cluster-boxes” a mile away, which have been broken into numerous times, and NOW the punks have been breaking into the post office and breaking into those boxes, so if you cant get to the post office between 8am-4pm your SOL, and if your disabled or you don’t/can’t drive too damn bad, but wait BTW we need MORE taxes from you

You show that article to him and becasue he should know it. Maybe you would get a citation and maybe go and show it to the judge. Nothing would be done against you for it over reaches their individual laws by the Constitution. So what I suggest you get the constitution andread to find it. Then highlight it and when asked you show it to them. And if they do anything you can get them with not following the law of the Country. I have done it. And it works. Pisses them off but it works
