CA State Senate Considers Bill JAILING People Up to 1 Year for Using Wrong Gender Pronouns

CA State Sen. Scott Wiener (D – San Francisco) introduced Bill SB 219 to the California State Senate seeking to fine people for using the wrong pronouns.

A new bill being considered by the California State Senate would punish people who “willfully and repeatedly” refuse “to use a transgender resident’s preferred name or pronouns” in a public health, retirement or housing institution.

The bill, SB 219, was proposed by State Sen. Scott Wiener (D-San Francisco). It includes several other provisions that require a health facility, for example, to honor the gender identity of a patient, meaning that the patient must be admitted to a room that comports with his or her chosen gender; allowed to use whatever bathroom he or she wants to use; and wear whatever clothing or cosmetics he or she decides to wear. It has gone through several amendments.

The odds of this coming to your state are a lot higher than you’d like to think.

Just last year West Virginia University tried brainwashing their 29,000 students believing using the wrong pronouns was a criminal offense. And speaking of education, remember that “trans-masculine” teacher Leo Soell who got awarded $60,000 as reparations for being referred to by the wrong pronoun?

And this isn’t just a rabid crazy thought circulating academia,

According to the newly updated anti-discrimination law in New York City, if you call a transgendered person a he or she when they prefer to be called something else, you could be fined up to $250,000!

That’s right, in this latest act of political correctness, the New York City Commission on Human Rights has updated a law on “Discrimination on the Basis of Gender Identity or Expression”. This means that the simple act of making your opinion on the subject known can be considered “willful and malicious”.

The California Family Council is coming out swinging against CA and the liberals latest attempt to police free speech and normal patterns of thought and behavior.

CBN also reports the testimony of the California Family Council’s Greg Burt:

How can you believe in free speech, but think the government can compel people to use certain pronouns when talking to others? … This is not tolerance. This is not love. This is not mutual respect. True tolerance tolerates people with different views. We need to treat each other with respect, but respect is a two-way street. It is not respectful to threaten people with punishment for having sincerely held beliefs that differ from your own.
