Yes, in the world Bernie Sanders lives in, passing the buck on to your wife is an act of honest transparency. It’s bad enough that he expects his wife to handle his tax returns, but it’s even more egregious when one considers Jane Sanders’ history of suspicious financial ventures, with her most notoriously accused of defrauding the state of Vermont by providing them with a litany of donations the college she ran never actually saw.
I guess in Bernie’s view, this sort of background qualifies, not disqualifies you from handling other people’s taxes:
