Report: Bernie Sanders’ Wife May Have Defrauded the State of Vermont

Jane Sanders, the wife of Bernie Sanders, the socialist Democrat Presidential hopeful, might have some serious criminal skeletons in her closet.  For seven years, Jane Sanders was the president of the small Burlington College in Vermont.  Her tenure was from 2004 to 2011, where her ambition, combined with potential criminal activity brought the institution to a near collapse and to Mrs. Sanders departure.

Burlington College began in a living room in 1972 and has had a student body of 300.  Sanders had ambitiously hoped to change this by expanding the school to a 32-acre property on the owned by the Catholic Diocese of Burlington.  Sitting on the shores of Lake Chaplain, Sanders saw it as an opportunity and led the school into $10 million of debt.

To finance such an enormous investment, the college presented to the Vermont Educational and Health Buildings Finance Agency, a state agency that issues tax-exempt bonds for non-profit institutions. its case and need for funding.

The criminal activities of Sanders can be found on page two.
