The beautiful thing about America is that though its people have myriad differences between themselves and their neighbors, there is room for everybody to live the way they want to. So long as no one is hurt, citizens are free to operate and interact with others as they please. And of course, a big part of living is having a home to one’s liking.
Unfortunately, we have gone from the idea that a person’s home is their castle to the notion that one’s home is just another place for the government to stick its nose into. So not only are the possessions we keep in our houses subjected to their rule, but the very buildings we call home are as well.

This makes me so angry! The left is always preaching how mean the right is, but the left does something like this. This gave those homeless people a well deserved sense of dignity and security. They are so often preyed upon! A place out of the wind and weather. A secure place to keep their precious and few belongings safe so they don’t have to carry them everywhere they go. A way to work towards something better. Not only are these “Authorities” completely heartless to do this to people in such need, but to destroy these well made structures that didn’t belong to them defies logic. Then in their compassion they refuse them their few belongings & medications. I’m so angry I’m literally nauseous.
Terror for who? Gets them off the streets into a shelter!

There has to be a reason for confiscation… placed on private property, disturbances, no functioning bathrooms… something. The state can’t just take stuff from you.
