In the video below, a customer of this particular model shotgun can be seen demonstrating the flaw with the gun’s safety. While Winchester hasn’t officially confirmed the video is related to the product, you don’t need to examine the weapon that closely to know that it shouldn’t do that.
The guns listed under the recall include the Waterfowl Hunter, Black Shadow, Turkey Hunter and Long Beard. If you own one of these guns, Winchester encourages you to immediately contact their Consumer Administrative Center to find out if yours is affected. And yes, you should definitely do that.
