Will Smith: Trump’s Comments on Muslims and Building Walls May Force Me To Run For President

To most, this is the equivalent of Kanye West running for president. And considering the fact that young voters are dumb enough to consider voting for him, it makes on cringe at the thought. Just because he met the president in Independence Day, it doesn’t mean he’s qualified to be one.

This isn’t the first time Will Smith has stepped into the political spotlight. In 2012 he held a fundraiser for President Obama while he was campaigning for reelection.

“If people keep saying all the crazy kinds of stuff they’ve been saying on the news lately about walls and Muslims, they’re going to force me into the political arena,” Smith said, referring to Trump’s pushes to build a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border and bar Muslims from entering the nation.

“I mean, I gotta be president. Come on!” he added. “What else would I run for?”

Now that he’s opened his mouth, it would be interesting to know what he would do about the immigration problem. Smith’s only knowledge of politics come from movies that really aren’t that good. Last month he said he would be open to having a career in the political arena when his acting days are over.
