One of the most devious aspects of the TPP is that the agreement effectively restricts and eliminates sovereignty. Nations who sign the agreement will be at the mercy of the TPP for the forseeable future and may not make or enforce laws that conflict with it. This is effectively an agreement to allow big multinational corporations such as pharmaceutical companies, tobacco corporations, and the like to control every nation that signs the agreement.
