White House: ‘Radical Islamic extremism’ is a Republican ‘political talking point’

In the wake of the Orlando terrorist attack that killed or wounded over 100 people at an Orlando gay nightclub earlier this month, President Obama, Hillary Clinton, and many other Democratic leaders focused their outrage on guns and “Islamaphobic” Republicans instead of the killer’s hateful ideology.  The president showed much more anger with GOP presumptive nominee Donald Trump than he ever has with the terrorists themselves.

The president proposed changes in gun policy but announced nothing new in the battle with ISIS, Al-Qaeda, and other terror groups.  This week, White House spokesman Josh Earnest appeared on CNN’s New Day and reiterated the administration’s belief that identifying America’s enemies is unimportant — counterproductive, even.  Watch Earnest’s exchange with CNN’s Chris Cuomo below.
