In Cudahy, California, where the racial make-up consists of 96% Hispanic and 4% Other, a Community Board meeting was announced for citizens to discuss an array of issues important to the residents. The only hitch…it was supposed to be Latinos only.
…[W]hen a large group of white Trump supporters showed up alongside several Latino Trump supporters, all hell broke loose!
The pro- Mexico supporters hurled a series of insult such as “white supremacist” and “racist” at everyone who disagreed with them, despite no racial insults or racial overtones even been suggested.
Things got even more heated after the meeting was canceled and police were called in. All police attempted to keep the peace, Mexican flag-waving Latino protesters demanded that the Trump supporters and Latino people who were supportive of immigration laws be arrested.
Yet, masked pro-Mexico protesters continued violently assaulting people simply for chanting “USA”.
White citizens, as well as Hispanic Trump supporters appeared in the Leo P. Turner Community Center to air their outrage over the “Latinos-only” nature of the meeting and that was the beginning of an hours-long shouting, screaming and fist-fighting match between those in the community who didn’t want “Europeans” at their gathering and White and Hispanic Trump supporters. Many on both sides of the meeting were armed with cameras, phones and other recording equipment in anticipation of the expected altercations. No one was disappointed.
The council meeting never really materialized as the shouting matches between the two sides were so raucous as to almost completely drown out the sound of the Vice-Mayor Christian Hernandez’s voice over the microphone. There was a very strange segue where one of the council members, identified on his placard as Jack Guerrero threw a mini-tantrum about there not being the sufficient number of members attending, and then proceeded to call out the Mayor, who apparently was also not there. Then he stormed off, leaving Hernandez to be forced to adjourn the meeting. It was at this time that the Latinos-only crowd opted to somehow blame the Trump supporters for the disruption, which if you listened to Guerrero had everything to do with the absence of the Mayor and other board members.
At any rate, the meeting then exploded into a free-for-all shouting match between the two sides. Police were present in small numbers, but once the crowds became more contentious and a shout of “fight” broke the arguing, police moved the crowds painstakingly slow to the outside of the center where more police arrived and the crowds became more combatant toward each other. The sides lined up with the Latinos-only crowd warning the “Europeans” to go home or “Go back to Europe.” Another man actually showed a sign with claims that this land was stolen from the natives.
As one of the members of the Trump supporters stood under a tree and began a “USA” chant, a Latinos-only black-dressed and masked man (appearing to be dressed just like the MS-13 gang members out of Los Angeles) approached the man and began throwing punches. One of the other supporters leaped to his aid and chased the masked coward toward the rear of the Latinos-only crowd as he was protected, but police quickly stepped in and led the masked man off toward the squad cars (no indication that he was either charged or arrested for battery).
More police arrived and as a woman on a skateboard arrived from the street waving a large Mexican flag and shrieking at the Trump supporters, finally joining the Latinos-only crowd. It became more tense as the two sides attempted to one-up the other on rhetoric, but the fact remained that most Cudahy residents were welcome (if you were the right color) and a very small select amount were not. A Sheriff’s helicopter showed up and ordered the crowds to disperse through a loudspeaker, quoting statutes on illegal gatherings without permit, etc. One of the Trump supporters was gently pushed back away from the lines being told to leave. He refused, saying that he wasn’t doing anything wrong, but the officer persisted.
In a brief look at the official Facebook page of the Leo P. Turner Community Center where this shameful anti-American display took place, it is immediately notable that 99% of the comments are in Spanish, so it’s difficult to gauge where the conversation was going or where the mood of the community currently stands.
The calls for segregation are becoming more and more frequent from the Left and with the snowflakes on campuses throughout the nation demanding safe spaces that insulate them from any harmful or dismaying thoughts or comments, it appears that we are headed toward a great crossroads where we, as a country, may have to re-visit the debate over the Left’s favorite class-envy tactic: separation of the races.
