Washington Post Publicizes Debunked Statistics on Mass Shootings

You’ve no doubt seen the reports. Nearly ever major, “credible,” mainstream news source available is running stories detailing the “sobering” statistics about mass shootings here in America.

They say they happen no where else. They happen weekly. They kill thousands over the course of weeks. They are also false.

That latest statement comes from the Washington Post, who actually seemed to do a bit of fact checking before they pushed forward the media’s agenda of gun control and restriction.

The main issue at the root of this disagreements of facts comes from the incredibly loose, biased interpretation of “mass shooting” being used by most media outlets. They include such a wide ranging list of scenarios, almost everything is included.

Call it sensationalism, call it carelessness, or call it bias, one thing is for certain. Its simply not true.
