Dan Downing of the Morgan County, Ind. Sheriff’s Department, he stated “The weaponry is totally different now that it was in the beginning of my career, plus, you have a lot of people who are coming out of the military that have the ability and knowledge to build IEDs and to defeat law enforcement techniques.”

Yes. Steve is correct. The federal government is equipping local police with military hardware and training to fight against the civilian population. The police are being radicalized. We see the evidence of it every day. City fathers need to wake up and demand accountability from their local law enforcement. Find out what’s going on, what kind of training they’re getting, and equipment. Remember, they work for you. You may need to nip this in the bud in your community. There is no reason for your local police to have these expensive to maintain military vehicles and equipment, that can be very effectively used against you in a crisis.

No. Believe me, Steve is more right than he knows. I’ve seen this with my own eyes. It’s going on right here in my community. We have been lobbying the Sheriff to stand up and get control of the local law enforcement and get the federal government’s nose out of our business. We don’t want police officers that we can’t tell from combat soldiers. Police and soldiers have a completely different mission and it’s dangerous to try to combine the two. Besides, we don’t want to pay for the up-keep on expensive war fighting equipment, even if we get it for free. Besides, the police don’t need that stuff anyway. They need to hall their SWAT Team around, get a Metro van. Most departments don’t need a SWAT Team anyway. If the Sheriff needs help he can form a posse.
