Socialism always starts as a “people’s movement,” with mindless and ignorant people being directed by elitist con men in the background, telling the foolish that by bringing down the “rich,” everyone will share in the abundance that socialism will bring. It is always a lie, and invariably almost all the people end up in poverty, with the exception of the top socialist leaders who live like kings. Fidel Castro is certainly one who has lived that life, and his protege, Hugo Chavez destroyed the Venezuelan economy pursuing the same socialist policies.
When the economy comes crashing down, it is necessary for the leadership to blame an outside source, and when Chavez was alive, he continually named the United States for all of the woes the country was suffering from. In fact, the oil rich country provides 9 percent of the U.S. gross oil imports, which must be a considerable sum of export income to the nation of 30 million people. As such, the U.S. provided a huge portion of the countries income, but Chavez resented that as well.
Venezuela has expropriated foreign and domestic businesses, which means that the people have little invested in the country and are becoming very unhappy with the leadership as it nosedives to complete economic ruin.

I live in Venezuela And the main problem is corruption and the desire to destroy the country with nonsense actions, there is no investment anymore here, we dont get to get but only a few dollars per year maybe 2000 each one who on top of that have to fill in a form and have to travel so you can get dollars, if you don’t travel outside the country u get nothing, impunity and corruption has destroyed everything, the society is broken at its max, people are starving, the last 3 days one of the most dangerous guettos in Caracas came down to the city with more than 400 ppl armed with long ranged weapons (which the same regime armed like paramilitary) to loot everything and truck loads of food, the police couldn’t control nothing and there were national guard and police injured by firearms, we are at the end and this is going to worse.
Don’t worry America Obummer always tells the truth and would never want martial law. Just keep telling yourself that and one day you will be inside an interment camp looking out..

Makes sense. The people don’t know how to do anything for themselves the government has been taking care of them. Now the government does not have enough to take care of them. The people naturally fight for what there is. So the government steps in and must reduce the count of people to meet the supplies available. I.e. Kill some off. This is what we do here in the US with deer America. You still want to be like this. Hopeless. And waiting for someone else to decide your fate. Does this sound like slavery to anyone else.
