The war zone for the soldiers in Chattanooga was here in our own country not half way around the world. The enamy is here walking among us and we want our soldiers to stand there unarmed? REALLY?
Guess it depends who you prefer to have armed…..Military, illegals, thugs, or terrorists! I prefer our military to the others!
Well the others if you have a legitimate reason to shoot them you’re in the clear. With the military they’re only there on orders. So you can’t get away with shooting them if they bust into your house.
Allen we do get paid by the Department of Defense but not by check since the 90s. Soldiers are allowed to be armed on Federal property and have been since I was a private in th 80s… Posse commitatus limits the military when stateside and its legal interactions with with our citizens in an official capacity for example policing, patrolling etc. it doesn’t negate the Service Members right to self defense. As recruiting stations are federal owned or leased property Soldiers do have a right to defend it or themselves. Have you been to a Military installation in the states? There are armed Soldiers (MPs, SPs Guards) they do have armed reactionary forces that are required to defend their installations. I think your over stretching the conspiracy theory a bit here. Have you known anyone living around one of our major installations that were policed or had their house raided by US Soldiers. Of course not, such an order would be unlawful and we are trained to ignore and report such an order. What they are trying to do is authorize the issuance and use of the recruiters duty weapon (once $#%&!@*igned) in defense of themselves and their station. By all means I agree, no law enforcing and raiding or anything else anyone can dream up, but I think they should be allowed to protect themselves if an armed en$#%&!@*y comes into their station and starts shooting… Closed brings and plain clothes will not stop that!
