The military is forcing its troops to abide by Sharia law during the Islamic month of Ramadan if stationed in various Muslim countries.
During Ramadan, Muslims fast from dawn until dusk and it is expected that all others do the same, regardless of their religion. In most extreme punishments, those who are caught either eating or drinking can be put to death.
