There might be those with good intentions who participate in United Nations’ debates and votes, but for the most part, the organization is useless. This is easily demonstrated. It is supposed to be an advocate and force for world peace, yet there have been multiple wars in progress throughout the organization’s existence.
And when it comes down to it, does anyone really believe that if some of the world’s major powers were determined to go to war that a vote by the UN would deter them? Even more ridiculous is the idea that it can force nations to disarm. At best it provides physical space where belligerents can hurl insults at each other with little fear of violence breaking out on the spot.
At worst, it’s a waste of time and money, and provides a false hope to peoples and nations that really would like to live in peace.
It’s current vote on banning nuclear weapons is an excellent example.

It will level the playing field which is what the u.n. wants they know some countries will lie and say theyve neutralised there weapons then they will use the weapons they stockpiled as leverage and the u.n. and the countries that are for a new world order will turn the other cheek just like they did when syria said they destroyed all their chemical weapons then used them to supress the people of syria.a bunch of countries csn then band together in a ground war to attack the u.s. then by sheer numbers could possibly tske the u.s. and could force us into a global government.bad idea for us good for the underachievers of the world.

It is just like banning guns we banned Nuclear weapons long ago but gee now everyone still has them and new countries are making them see what good it does to make laws? It won’t work to ban a rifle or gun it only intrigues these kids without direction more excuse to use them.
