United Nations: We Ban Possession of Nuclear Weapons in All Countries


For all its lofty goals, the United Nations’ existence has been marred by continuous wars, an increase in the number of nations armed with nuclear weapons, mass famine, and refugee crises. Not a particularly impressive record.

A professor of international relations was once heard to say that if a conflict is between two third-world nations, the UN will march in and try to assert its authority. If it is between a major power and a third-world nation, the UN won’t see it. If the conflict is between two major powers, the UN itself will go away.

Such is the uselessness of this body. It makes statements, propose goals, and accomplishes little.
