Christiana Figueres, the Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, said in an interview with Climate One founder Greg Dalton that the Earth is already overburdened with people and that we should look at depopulating the planet.
“There is pressure in the system to go toward that; we can definitely change those, right? We can definitely change those numbers,” Figueres stated.
“Really, we should make every effort to change those numbers because we are already, today, already exceeding the planet’s planetary carrying capacity,” she said.

The UN should be disbanded.They’re nothing but an elite social club for liberal socialism.
The UN has always rubbed me the wrong way…..while I agree there needs to be “responsibility” in having children, I also agree that the UN has tried to “control” the population behind our backs — through vaccines, abortions, wars and the spread of disease.
Instead of putting billions of dollars towards killing us off, why don’t they have an educational and welfare system tailored to teaching people responsibility — we shouldn’t be rewarding people (via welfare) for having children. It has become a “business” — the more children you have, the more money you get.
Surprisingly, the biggest welfare recipient is Utah where it is encouraged by their religion to have many children. Why so many mothers unwed in this state???…..because polygamy has been allowed to flourish.
The other big recipient is the black communities. While blacks only represent 12% of the population, over half receive social assistance — welfare, food stamps, free healthcare. The effect has broken down the family unit where children have different fathers and some don’t know who their fathers are.
Then we have the drug addicts now having kids just to “feed” their own habits……now we are seeing hospitals filled with baby addicts and a black market for babies!
We now have third generation welfare recipients.
