UK Guardian Writer Calls for Trump’s Assassination

The hope is that all of these violent protests and threats on the life of Donald Trump will just die down.  Maybe George Soros will decide that busing people around to demonstrate against Trump is a waste of his money.  Or maybe the protestors will just get tired of it all and go home.  Or — and here’s a novel idea — perhaps those committing violence or threatening the life of Mr. Trump will get arrested and prosecuted for their crimes.  We can hope for justice, right?

Although the source is in the UK, the remarks this journalist made are just the sort of stuff that needs to stop.  Now.

A journalist who called for Donald Trump’s assassination sparked fury and calls for her arrest last night.

Guardian writer Monisha Rajesh – who has also worked for the Daily Mirror and the Daily Telegraph – tweeted: “It’s about time for a presidential assassination”.

Obviously, the UK has its own share of grossly irresponsible journalists.

But she later shut down her account after coming under a barrage of online criticism over her inflammatory retort, posted as America went to the polls on Tuesday.

One angry Twitter user hit out: “Has the @fbi investigated/arrested #MonishaRajesh.

Time to put @guardian out of business for promoting assassinations and communism.”

That’s a heck of a nice idea — for all the publications condoning grossly repugnant calls for violence like this from so-called journalists just went out of business.  What a better world we’d have.
