U.N News Agency Posts Tweet Calling on Americans Abroad to ‘End Trump’

We’re not ones to spend much of our day following the United Nations News Centre which is the official source of news from the U.N.  To be honest, we’d just as soon ignore the whole organization.

The problem with that approach is that this group is dedicated to having an increasing degree of control over our lives. So out of necessity, we do pay attention.

The U.N. recently released a tweet, then a few moments later, deleted it.

The United Nations News Centre — the official U.N. news service — tweeted, then quickly pulled, a post that called for “8 million Americans abroad” to “stop Trump.”

So are we to believe that the U.N. is no longer satisfied with just criticizing most anything the U.S. does, and is now expanding its efforts to manipulate our elections?

Ari Gaitanis, chief of the U.N. News Services Section, which oversees the twitter account, said it was a mistake.

“That tweet did not originate from the UN News Centre and this was the reason for it being taken down,” he told POLITICO. “We’re looking into its provenance.”

Forgive us for not believing Mr. Gaitanis.
