Two GOP Candidates Will Accompany Trump on his Fox News Debate Alternative Tonight

Many thought Donald Trump was bluffing when he said he wouldn’t appear on the Fox News debate stage tonight, but it appears as if he is forging ahead and not looking back.

Instead, he’s booked a high profile piece of counter programming that promotes his campaign and Wounded Warriors.

FOX News is holding a debate at the same time.
Trump obviously feels bad that their advertising rates are dropping after he announced he would not be attending the Iowa debate.

“The “debate” tonight will be a total disaster – low ratings with advertisers and advertising rates dropping like a rock. I hate to see this.” -@realDonaldTrump

CNN announced Wednesday they will host Trump’s counter-programming to the FOX debate.
Ouch.

At least two others think the event is one people won’t want to miss, and are showing up in the hopes that people tune out of the Fox News debate, and into Trump’s.

Mike Huckabee and Rick Santorum will join Donald Trump for his alternative debate event in Iowa on Thursday night.

After the #GOPDebate I’ll join @realDonaldTrump in Des Moines to support our vets who’ve been abandoned by @BarackObama. Hope you join us!

With the media hype, presidential hopefuls, and — of course — Trump himself appearing on CNN at the same time as the other candidates appear on Fox, Trump may very well have pulled off the ultimate upset over Fox News.

We’ll just need to wait for the ratings to know once and for all.
