Trump’s Call For A Ban Muslim Immigration

Trump Popularity Soars with Press Release on Muslim Immigration

Trump’s press release was dramatic in that it followed the recent terrorist bombings in Paris and the murderous shootings in San Bernardino, California committed by an Islamic terrorist husband and wife team, and it addressed the concerns and fears of the American people as they process the heinous and inhuman attacks on innocents by Muslim extremists.

President Barack Obama, in a particularly tone deaf approach to the fears of Americans, has declared that he will be bringing in tens of thousands of mostly Muslim “refugees” from Syria, clearly against the will of the American people. In order to placate the populace, he has promised they will be carefully vetted to insure that they are not Muslim terrorists coming in to wreak havoc on the country.

However, immigration officials have declared that totally accurate vetting is not possible, and Obama has been shown to mislead and prevaricate so many times in the past that Americans are not inclined to believe his promises any more.

In contrast, Trump released the following statement on December 7th:

According to Pew Research, among others, there is great hatred towards Americans by large segments of the Muslim population. Most recently, a poll from the Center for Security Policy released data showing “25% of those polled agreed that violence against Americans here in the United States is justified as a part of the global jihad” and 51% of those polled, “agreed that Muslims in America should have the choice of being governed according to Shariah.” Shariah authorizes such atrocities as murder against non-believers who won’t convert, beheadings and more unthinkable acts that pose great harm to Americans, especially women.

“Without looking at the various polling data, it is obvious to anybody the hatred is beyond comprehension. Where this hatred comes from and why we will have to determine. Until we are able to determine and understand this problem and the dangerous threat it poses, our country cannot be the victims of horrendous attacks by people that believe only in Jihad, and have no sense of reason or respect for human life. If I win the election for President, we are going to Make America Great Again.”

Trump then called for a ban on Muslim immigration to the U.S., which caused an uproar by the political Left, but was welcomed by average citizens who wonder why their lives are less important than those of the incoming hordes, and who will stand up for the rights of the American people.

Trump merely indicated that immigration should be halted until we have a better handle on the threat and can safely allow Middle Eastern immigrants into the country without concern about their intent to do harm to Americans. The question then becomes whether such a ban, based on a religious test, is constitutional, and Judge Andrew Napolitano said “no,” but he also indicated that such a ban regarding a specific country of origin would be acceptable.

For now, the question still remains why so many American leaders, with Obama at the head of the pack, are so determined to invite huge numbers of Muslim immigrants into the country when it is clear that they will be a huge financial burden on the country, and given the fact that there is no way that our current immigration system can safely vet them to ensure they are not terrorist cell members waiting for an opportunity to do harm.
