Donald Trump has no patience for an administration official who refuses to do their job. Immediately after acting Attorney General Sally Yates informed her justice department to not defend Trump’s recently announced immigration ban, she got fired.
In her place will be Dana Boente. Like Yates, Boente was appointed by Barack Obama — but his hiring seems to indicate that he will not refuse to serve the new Republican president.
But he won’t have long to prove his loyalty. Boente will only serve as attorney general until Trump’s actual AG pick, Jeff Sessions, makes it through the senate. The process has been obstructed and delayed, but eventually Trump will have one of his own men at the top of the Justice department.
