Trump Threatens to Cutting Federal Funding to UC Berkeley Over Left-Wing Violence

Almost as if to prove how hostile they are to freedom of speech, progressives rioted in Berkeley, once home of the college free speech movement, when Milo Yiannopoulos traveled there to give a speech at UC Berkeley. The unrest drew so much attention that President Trump himself commented on them, threatening to cut off funding for the university unless it cracks down on anti-free speech extremism:

News of the rioting made cable news last night as students smashed ATMs and bank windows, looted a Starbucks, beat Trump supporters, pepper sprayed innocent individuals, and set fires in the street. Others spray painted the words “Kill Trump” on storefronts.”

The federal government currently accounts for 55% of UC Berkeley’s research funding, so the university will certainly feel it if Trump comes through with his promise:

“Each year, the UC Berkeley campus receives well over half a billion dollars in research and other support from external sources. In the fiscal year ending June 30, 2016, UC Berkeley attracted $673.9 million in new awards. Many of these awards fund multiyear research projects and support expenditures that will be reflected in subsequent years.”

The violence has gotten so horrendous, that the people are even beaten unconscious with metal poles:

Disgustingly, liberal personalities took to Twitter to express their glee over the violence committed by their ideological brethern:

“UPDATE 41: Left-wing “comedians” Arthur Chu and Patrick Monahan celebrate the violence against MILO attendees and Trump supporters.
