Trump: The DNC Hacked Itself to Produce Opposition Research

Mocking CrowdStrike, the cybersecurity firm responsible for responding to the DNC hack, the hacker continues by flaunting several screenshots acquired during the breach.

“Worldwide known cyber security company CrowdStrike announced that the Democratic National Committee (DNC) servers had been hacked by ‘sophisticated’ hacker groups,” Guccifer 2.0 writes. “I’m very pleased the company appreciated my skills so highly))) But in fact, it was easy, very easy.”

“Shame on CrowdStrike: Do you think I’ve been in the DNC’s networks for almost a year and saved only 2 documents? Do you really believe it?” the hacker writes.  “Here are just a few docs from many thousands I extracted when hacking into DNC’s network.”

“Some hundred sheets! This’s a serious case, isn’t it?” the hacker adds. “And it’s just a tiny part of all docs I downloaded from the Democrats networks.”

Guccifer 2.0 claims that all the documents, which also include documents that have not been published, have been given to Wikileaks.  Julian Assange, the founder of Wikileaks, recently commented that he is preparing to “publish emails that would bring down Hillary”.

“The main part of the papers, thousands of files and mails, I gave to Wikileaks. They will publish them soon,” the hacker says in closing. “I guess CrowdStrike customers should think twice about company’s competence.”

“F*ck the Illuminati and their conspiracies!!!!!!!!! F*ck CrowdStrike!!!!!!!!!”

The hacker mocked DNC chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, who said that no financial documents were compromised, he responded, “Nonsense! Just look through the Democratic Party lists of donors!”

Here is a screenshot of just some of the celebrity donors tithing to the DNC.

The DNC has yet to comment on the Guccifer 2.0 hacking allegations.

Trump has come forward to suggest that the DNC actually “hacked itself” to produce the trove of documents:

The file, which the Washington Post reported was stolen by Russian government hackers, was published Wednesday afternoon by The Smoking Gun and Gawker, which said it received the document from an anonymous source who identified himself only as “Guccifer 2.0.” But Trump saw the release differently, accusing the DNC of releasing the research as a diversionary tactic.

“We believe it was the DNC that did the ‘hacking’ as a way to distract from the many issues facing their deeply flawed candidate and failed party leader,” Trump said in a statement released Wednesday. “Too bad the DNC doesn’t hack Crooked Hillary’s, 33,000 missing emails.”

The comprehensive, 211-page document lays out multiple lines of attack against the billionaire, attacking him as “loyal only to himself” and as a man with “no core.” It lists, with thorough sourcing, Trump’s various positional shifts on key issues and checkered personal history, including accusations of infidelity and allegations of rape against him by his wife, Ivana Trump.

In the deceptive world of politics it can often be difficult to nail down the truth. We might never know who actually leaked these documents.
