Trump Confirms He’s Under Investigation In Morning Tweet

President Trump has upped the ante regarding the current investigations into collusion with Russia by branding them a “witch hunt.” He included the new investigation in that category as well.

I am being investigated for firing the FBI Director by the man who told me to fire the FBI Director! Witch Hunt.”

The tweet sent Washington and the media into a frenzy to try to decipher exactly what the president meant.

Realizing that the Russia collusion probe is likely to lead nowhere, Democrats have tried to shift the focus to “obstruction of justice,” claiming that the Comey firing was designed to thwart the Russia probe.

What they fail to recognize is that any probe the FBI is conducting would continue, regardless of who sits in the director’s chair, or even if the directorship is vacant.

Acting Director Andrew McCabe immediately took over Comey’s duties so there is no way for any obstruction to occur. The FBI director serves at the president’s pleasure, and any firing would not interrupt the ongoing operations of the agency.

Meanwhile, the Washington Post and other elitist media continue to pump out anonymously sourced fake news stories about President Trump and alleged investigations into wrongdoing.

The newest presidential tweet follows a series of messages in which he attacks the Russia investigation currently being conducted by Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

After 7 months of investigations & committee hearings about my ‘collusion with the Russians,’ nobody has been able to show any proof. Sad!”

In addition, President Trump tweaked the news media about his use of Twitter to directly communicate with the public.

The Fake News Media hates when I use what has turned out to be my very powerful Social Media – over 100 million people! I can go around them.”

Ironically, the 71-year old president has shown he’s mastered the art of social media and turned it into a key weapon against those who oppose his agenda.

As he did in the presidential campaign with using “crooked Hillary” to effectively label her in the eyes of much of the public, he now has trained his sights on the multiple investigations to tag them with “phony Witch Hunt.”

Concerned about leaks in and around the Russia probe, Rosenstein issued a statement yesterday advising the public to discount the veracity of leaked stories.

Americans should exercise caution before accepting as true any stories attributed to anonymous ‘officials,’ particularly when they do not identify the country – let alone the branch or agency of government – with which the alleged sources supposedly are affiliated.”

As both the pro-Trump and anti-Trump camps continue to pump out endless allegations and stories, the likelihood increases that average Americans will find it all just more “noise” and information overload.

Everyday Americans have more on their day-to-day plates to concern them than Washington’s ongoing gridlock and petty partisan politics.
