Seventh graders in Tennessee are being taught the principles of Islam and parents are ticked off. In response the the parents justified anger, Tennessee legislator, Rep. Sheila Butt, introduced a bill that will forbid the teaching of Islam to middle school students.

how about we expound on the evils around the world past and present?? They don’t need to teach how to practice it, they need to know how to prevent it.

So? Kids should have comparative religion about that age as a part of world history. It helps them understand the context of history. That is all. It is not to convert anyone to any religion. Its simply past of a well rounded education. Judiism, Christianity,Hindi, Buddism and shamanism must also be understood for context. There is NO INTENTION TO CONVERT IN COMPARATIVE RELIGION CLASSES.
