As President Trump’s first 600 days approaches it seems fitting to take a look at how his administration compares with the prior administration under Obama. And seeing how Obama just tried to take credit for President Trump’s booming economy, well, such a comparison seems compulsatory.
“We worked hard to end that crisis but also break some of these longer-term trends,” Obama told students during a speech at the University of Illinois. “By the time I left office, household income was near its all-time high, and the uninsured rate had hit an all-time low and wages were rising,” he added. “I mention all this so when you hear how great the economy is doing right now, let’s just remember when this recovery started. I’m glad it’s continued, but when you hear about this economic miracle that’s been going on … I have to kind of remind them, actually those job numbers are kind of the same as they were in 2015 and 2016.”
Turn the page for a comparison of these two administrations:
What an idiot, and inaccurate report. Trump took over an economy that had been growing steadily since the DJIA tanked, which had ZERO to do with him. We were in the midst of the Great recession and the DJIA tripled under Obama. As for jobs, Obama’s last three years created more jobs each year than Trump in either of his first two years. The annual budge deficit was running at $1.4 trillion during the worst year of the Recession, it was cut down to under $500 billion. Now with Trump’s tax cut, skewed to the top 3% and corporations, wages have hardly budged and the deficit will hit over $800 billion on its way to $1 trillion., There is much more to the Trump Ponzi scheme. Hearings, indictments, impeachment and resignation.
