Texas GOP Elector Breaks Pledge, Will Not Cast Vote for Trump

During the summer, Texas presidential elector Chris Suprun signed a pledge to endorse whoever was chosen to represent the GOP during the presidential election. When Trump beat the odds and won the party’s nomination, Suprun remained quiet and stayed out of the spotlight… until now that is. Now, Suprun is saying that he refuses to support Trump supposedly because of his post-election conduct, although one can’t help but wonder if this has anything to do with an agreement made by electors to block the populist conservative:

“Suprun is a #NeverTrumper.
His Twitter timeline is littered with fellow #NeverTrumper gibberish.

The Associated Press reported:

Republican member of the Electoral College from Texas said Monday that he won’t cast one of his state’s 38 electoral votes for Donald Trump because “I am here to elect a president, not a king.”

Dallas paramedic Chris Suprun previously indicated he would support Trump.”
