Tim Kleinschmidt (R-Lexington) has introduced a bill that seeks to thwart all enforcement of federal gun control measures.
House Bill 176 (HB176) declares that all federal restrictions on the Second Amendment to be “invalid” and “not enforceable” within the state of Texas.

Dave Felter, guess you haven’t been keeping up with the news. Get out of your cave, turn on your TV and listen to Texas news. Better yet, take a trip to the Rio Grande Valley where Texas and Mexico border. Gov Perry has Texas National Guard and the Texas DPS everywhere securing the border something Obummer refused to do or even take a trip to see for himself. When you drive around there you will see a DPS posted just about every mile apart or driving around stopping ppl. Gov Perry send over 1,000 men & women to secure the border at Texas taxpayers expense because Obummer refuses to help. So Mr. Felter, THATS WHY TEXAS IS SOOOO GREAT AND WILL ALWAYS BE THE GREAT STATE.
