Roger Stone’s hatred of the Republican party is no secret as far as his political involvement goes. However, in a series of Tweets, he told Cruz that neither he nor Trump had anything to do with these accusations. Maybe he can speak for himself, but how would he know about Trump?
“I have no idea whether or not the cover story about Ted Cruz in this week’s issue of the National Enquirer is true or not, but I had absolutely nothing to do with it, did not know about it, and have not, as yet, read it,” the GOP frontrunner said on Facebook. “Likewise, I have nothing to do with the National Enquirer and unlike Lyin’ Ted Cruz I do not surround myself with political hacks and henchman and then pretend total innocence.”
At the end of the day, what exactly does this accomplish? How many political personalities have ever been innocent of having affairs or participating in odd sexual behavior? Conservatives are going to have to vote for either Ted Cruz or Donald Trump. As far as who is morally sound, the choice is obvious. What’s best for the country, on the other hand, is another choice in itself.
