Ted Cruz: Killing ISIS Doesn’t Contradict “Thou Shalt Not Murder” Commandment

“Thou shalt not murder” is different than, “Thou shalt not kill. And defending yourself and defending your nation is an obligation of any President. It is not murder.”

Ted Cruz spoke these sentiments in an interview with News Max's, “The Hard Line” host Ed Berliner.  He articulated, that as a man of faith, he understands the Biblical mandate to face evil and defend innocents.  Answering Ed Berliner's pointed question regarding faith and carpet bombing ISIS he made the correlation between killing the Nazi's and killing ISIS.

Cruz argued that defending the innocent is an obligation and jihadist have declared war on us, therefore a stategy to protect and defeat evil is necessary.

He stated that Obama and Hillary have both failed to confront this evil as they have been unwilling to acknowledge that “the jihadists have declared war on us”.
